Researchers at King’s College London and the London National Health Service believe that this study will help solve the problem of anxiety that men experience regarding the size of their penis.
The results showed that at rest the length of the penis is on average 9.16 cm, in the stretched state - 13.24 cm and 9.31 cm in girth.
The erect penis is on average 13.12 cm in length and 11.66 cm in girth.
Research has shown that there is a slight positive correlation associated with a long erection and a man’s height.
Penis length chart
The study, published in the British Journal of Urology International, covers measurements in all age groups and races.
It contains 17 studies that include measurements of 15521 penises of various men.
Lead author Dr. David Vale of the Royal College of the London Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience comments on the study: “We believe these schedules will help doctors reassure the vast majority of men that their penis size is within the normal range.”
“We will also use graphs to study inconsistencies between what a person thinks are their position on the chart and their actual position, or what they think should be.”

This study was also conducted to help men who are worried about the size of their dignity or who suffer from dysmorphic body disorder (DRE) - an anxiety associated with the perception of their image.
The study can also be used to study how the damage or slippage of a condom is related to penis size.
