Agree, all people travel in different ways. Some prefer to admire nature and sights, others are in constant search for new experiences. What are cooks looking for when they travel?

Almost all travel Andrew - gastronomic. Over 15 years of work, he has traveled to dozens of countries and carefully studied Italian, French and, of course, Russian cuisine. And not so long ago, Andrei conceived an expedition to the former Soviet republics - from the Baltic states, through the Caucasus and to Asia - in search of the best traditional recipes and unique ingredients.

There were a lot of funny stories and adventures on this trip. In our opinion, Andrei learned to cook “zeppelins” like a real Lithuanian, and he gets Uzbek pilaf as crumbly as in Tashkent.

In every city since the morning, Andrew rushes to the market or local market, where you can experience everything at once - a variety of tastes and a national flavor. Most often, already with purchases, he goes to visit local friends, where he learns all the secrets of cooking local dishes!

Andrey is inspired not only by new recipes, but also by the history of dishes. So the shah of pilaf got into the menu - the crown of Azerbaijani pilaf. When he learned the background that Shah Plov is served only to the most honored guests, he immediately decided to entertain Intourist Baku with this particular dish, which is shaped like a crown of Eastern rulers.

The chef likes to delight the Intourist restaurant visitor with new dishes - those that he himself liked the most. It was Andrei who presented the Baltic cuisine to Baku, and the guests of the Intourist restaurant from Riga were not only satisfied with his blackberries, they promised to come to Baku more than once. They claim that Andrei’s dishes are tastier than in Latvia itself.
